(South Sister Bay on Hwy 42)
Gallery Hours :
Now Open! 10-5 Daily (April-Oct.)
The Frykman's just opened a new location, the Frykman Studio Gallery, in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. The gallery features David Frykman's wood carved art, Heather and Luke Frykman's Door County nature photography, as well as fine pottery and wall sculptures by Steve Jorgenson.
David’s carvings are well known for their individual character and whimsical expressions, but most people know his work from resin reproductions made by Coynes and Co., a Minnesota-based collectables company. These days, David has his own gallery in which to show his original work. Each of the pieces in the gallery and on this site is unique and none will be reproduced. They are all wood, mostly Eastern White Cedar, and most are painted with oil colors, while some are left natural with a finish of amber shellac.
Heather and Luke’s photography is a rich blend of Door County landscapes, wildlife, flowers, beautifully framed sunsets and more, all matted and framed at the gallery. They also run the gallery most days, when they are not out shooting.
